Privacy
This notice describes data processing when visiting montal.do. Last updated: 22 July 2026.
Data controller
Andrea Montaldo · Viale Regina Elena 23, 09124 Cagliari (CA), Italy · andrea@montal.do.
Essential analytics
The site uses Umami, installed on the same server and managed directly by the controller, to produce aggregate statistics about the use of montal.do only. It does not use cookies, localStorage, persistent fingerprints, advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking.
Data may include: page visited, date and time, referrer, UTM parameters, approximate country, language, browser, operating system, device type, screen size and explicit events such as changing language, opening the portfolio, using the print command and clicking the email address.
The server processes the IP address and user agent to derive technical data and an anonymous session; the IP address is not retained in the analytics database. The session does not enable the controller to know the visitor's identity and is not linked to other data.
Purpose and legal basis
The data are used solely to understand which content is useful, identify technical problems and improve the site. Processing is based on the controller's legitimate interest in measuring the operation of the site in a minimised and aggregate form (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention and recipients
No automatic periodic deletion is scheduled. Analytics data are retained while the website and analytics service remain active, in order to maintain comparable historical statistics; they are deleted when the service is discontinued or when they are no longer needed for this purpose. They remain on the controller's server in the European Union and are not sold, shared with advertising platforms or used for automated decision-making.
Your rights
You may request information, access, erasure, restriction or object to processing by writing to andrea@montal.do. Since the data contain no stable personal identifier, it may not be technically possible to link a statistic to a particular person. You retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
